This privacy policy sets out how Abigail Ministries uses and protects any information that you give us.

Abigail Ministries is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What we collect

We may collect, or you may provide us with the following information when you contact Abigail Ministries of your own volition.

  • First name, last name and, if supplied, email address.
  • Demographic information including address, city, country, postcode and phone number.
  • With Gift Aid forms – your signature will be retained only on the original of the form you completed. (Signatures are required by HMRC to show you wish Abigail Ministries to make that claim)
  • Some information may come to Abigail Ministries via your donations being passed through “Giving” organisations.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information for the following purposes:

  • Distribution of Newsletters and Issuing of Reports
  • Acknowledging donations
  • Claiming Gift Aid on eligible donations
  • Responding to e-mails and enquiries made via the web site (When the web site access is available)
  • Internal record keeping.
  • We may contact you by phone or email if there is specific news about a part of the work of Abigail Ministries with which you have previously shown an interest.

Do we share personal data?

No. We will not pass your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Abigail Ministries cannot control the information we receive about you if the contact is via a “Giving” organisation such as Just Giving, Virgin Money or Stewardship Service. Such “Giving” organisations will have their own Privacy Policy to protect your personal information.

Our website, may in the future, contain links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting external sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information as above, you may change your mind at any time by contacting Abigail Ministries by e-mail or by post. You will appreciate that any changes requested by telephone cannot be recorded.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
