Case Study: George Mburu – Sponsored Young Man gives back to the Community

Updated on: 31st December 2018

George joined New Hope Children’s Centre due to lack of family support to help him. Abigail Ministries funded his school fees through High School and others have since helped him to train initially as a Nurse at Kijabe Hospital.

He did well in all his training and qualified about three years ago. Here we are in November 2018 and he has had his second graduation at Kijabe. He is now an Anaesthetist. He thanks AM for having played a part in his life. He still recalls his life in those difficulty years. While in High school, NHCC used to give him Kshs 50/- per week, in order to buy paraffin to enable him study at night.

Anne at New Hope also recalls there were times we did not give him because it was simply not there. At times, I was torn between buying food for the kids, or giving him—-. Life was tough then.

When George started work as a nurse at Kijabe Hospital a few years ago, he sponsored 3 kids at New Hope.

His dream and vision has always been to start a Children’s Home in his lifetime, similar to NH. He wants to give back as a sign of gratitude to God, ELOHIM, the Almighty. Thanks once again for being part of his life, part of his story.
